I wanted to destroy that alarm clock at 5:30 this morning! I got waaaay too accustomed to sleeping in while I was off. And, to top it off - about 6:30 I asked DH if he was getting up today and he rolled over and mumbled that he was 'working from home' today. GRRRRRR! That is so unfair, lol. I have to get up and get out and he can sit on his computer and phone and work in his underwear. He's lucky that way, but he's really not able to do it that often. He oversees multiple offices and usually has to make a personal appearance to keep his 'peeps' happy.

Still have a little bit of muscle soreness so I think I'll head to the gym for some 'wellness' time at some point today. Maybe I can work out the soreness - or add a little more - who knows? I just know I need to keep moving.

Only 3 1/2 weeks until Christmas break. I'm so excited. I'll be off from Dec 19 - Jan 2. Niiiicccceeee! I'm hoping to get a couple of my grandkids for a few days. I miss the little darlin's.

Break's over - back to work...

If he's working from home in his underwear, he'd better hope he doesn't have to do any skyping!

LOL,not much chance of that - but if I know him - he'd just put a shirt and tie on and pretend he was fully dressed!

I could hope for snow days too - but not likely down here, lol! But, who knows with this crazy weather? They're calling for a possibility of hail tonight....

South of Houston, TX. Can't say it's impossible though because in '04 we actually had a white Christmas! :)

Have I said lately how much I hate the time change? I usually work from 7:30 - 4:30, but so far this week I've been the only one in the office so I've been staying until 5:00. It's hard to believe that just 30 extra minutes can screw up my day that much. Only one more day and the rest of the crew will be back. Thank goodness! I do NOT like feeding in the dark...especially the pigs. They are black, and they think it's funny as heck to come charing up out of the dark and scare the life outta me, lol.

Wooweeee, did I do some shopping during lunch or what? I've now got 7 grandbabies to buy for. My DD has three kiddos. DH's son "J" had two-but now has another. He met a real sweet lady when she was about 8 weeks pregnant. The 'baby daddy' wanted nothing to do with the child and mom wanted nothing more to do with him. So, my step-son has been with "A" for 7 months now and has gone through her pregnancy with her. The baby was born last month and she's a real cutie. He's planning on adopting her - so voila(!) another grandbaby! And, last but certainly not least - after my sister passed, I've taken over grammie duties to her only grandchild. Their ages are 10, 6, 5, 4, 4, 18m, and 6 weeks. I just love, love, love those babies!

We had a miracle in our house today! A couple years ago we bought a new refrigerator - and wouldn't you know it - as soon as the warranty went out, the ice maker went out too. So, we've been doing the ice tray thing for awhile now. DH wanted to go buy a new fridge, just cuz the ice maker was out - geeze. Today I came home from work, wanted a nice glass of lemonade and was really ticked to see that I was gonna need to empty some ice trays. Well - just as I was about to grab the ice trays I glanced at the ice bin and it was FULLLLLL. OMG - it fixed itself? I dunno.... weird things happen in my house sometimes.... and they usually happen around Christmas.... not gonna say much more about it...just gonna enjoy it for as long as it lasts!

Only got 10 eggs today - what's up with that? Actually, I"m not gonna complain cuz I've got eggs runnin' out my ears! I need to boil up some more and feed 'em back to the chickens. They love 'em, it's good protein and calcium, and it saves feed so it makes sense to me.

Dang, I'm hungry and I've had my alltoment of calories for the day....grrr....hate dieting - but I'm down a few more pounds so I'm just going to enjoy this hunger pang and know that it's doing me some good!

Better go clean the kitchen and crack a few pecans.

Due to everyones schedules we do alot of feedings at 6 and its already dark. I invested in solar spot lights in various places. There is one so my sisters ghost horse doesn't sneak up on me. Mean mean evil horse that will sneak up and try to hurt you( abused so badly by previous owner that 5 years of working with it has had little effect on the mean thing), but I have to go through the horse lot to get to ducks on the pond. They never want to come in when they are supposed to. One in the goats area because they just think its fun to escape their stalls and run all over their "yard" in the dark. I even rigged one inside my chicken coop where the light is on the inside and the charger is on the outside to improve my gals laying in the winter. I also got these magnetic strip lights that are batter operated that I keep up on the roof of all the barns "just in case". It really stinks when you drop a flashlight and say it falls in a water bucket and stops working and you have a very long, very dark walk back to the house. Also feeding with a flashlight in hand is a pain in the rump so I really like them with the magnets for the metal roof. I hope once your schedule improves you get to enjoy a bit more daylight.
