Yup, forcing him to read that one! He's addicted to the stuff and thinks if he buys the organic whole grain stuff he's doing well. He's been better about adding protein but has a long way to go.

yummy custard!!!

My favorite is a very eggy custard and you bake it in the pumpkin... with the top back on. It steams itself and the squash just falls off with the custard when you serve it.

Really good with a reduced apple cider over it. :)

Cool! Can't wait to check it out. Right now, sleep calls. I've got a cold and it's whippin' my butt. Time for "wet sock" treatment.

Hm, sat down thinking I had something to share before church and fffffffft, it's not in my head anymore. :idunno
Anyway, I still have to milk, change into non-milking/church clothes and finish a few chores. Maybe it will come to me. After the service we are making Advent wreaths. Everyone cuts greens from their property and shares. We all end up with beautiful table top advent wreaths. It's fun to watch the kids get into it. Better go pack up my clippers so I have my own! I've got holly, hemlock, white pine, and crab apple branches gathered. I went out into the woods behind our house where there is a huge multiflora rose bush. AH! Now I remember!!! Anyway, this bush used to be covered with rose hips that were great for decorating with but I don't think it's getting enough sun anymore because it was bare. So what I was going to share was that I found two holes in the ground, more than a foot in diameter, about 3 feet apart. Definitely dug by an animal. Tunnels go at an angle into the ground under this big rose bush. All about 10 feet from our back fence, and about 15 from the barn. Any ideas? We haven't seen or heard anything. It looks like they've been there a while. It's really kind of creepy.
