I would call my vet. They get busy and forget - not lack of caring just craziness all around them and "out of sight out of mind".

My old dog sleeps alot. In his case I am ok with that.... he wags his tail when he sees me coming and he enjoys laying out in the sunshine when it isn't too hot.

It is such a difficult and personal decision to make.... no matter what you decide I support you in doing what you think is best for your k9 buddy.

I think we'll be okay to wait till morning but I suspect he'll call soon. One man operation may mean that he's doing procedures after hours and we're really not at emergency status here. Kobi is resting. He rests or sleeps. He moves occasionally to a new place. He goes out and does his business, lies down and rests and comes back in. He's looking for food now.
I worked with this vet at another clinic years ago. I know he'll call when he can. :) If things take a turn for the worst I won't hesitate to call again. I've been on both sides of the phone. It's never easy.

New Kindle is up and running. I bought a padded case with a light for it. I can still slip it into the hand knit bag I made but I'm happier with the heavier duty protection.

Thanks, he's about the same this morning. I will be calling the vet's office to make an appointment for him to go in at some point. I'm not happy that they never called me back last night, but it wasn't an emergency so I won't make a stink. I will mention that we did stay home all evening waiting for the call though. DH begged off band practice when he didn't need to. We're taking it day by day.
In the meantime the chicks are getting huge! My ancient hen is acting broody. We've had her at least one year longer than DS has been here and we got her as a pullet so she is either 9 or 10 years old. Still lays an egg every other day or so. We won't let her sit on eggs though because we just can't deal with the rooster situation and everything that ever hatched here was a rooster!
I've got all kinds of seedlings up in the basement under the lights, plus mache and arugula in the kitchen window. Peas and mesclun are outside. We had frost last night but they seem to be fine!
Early release day for me but that just means professional development meetings. Today's will be on assistive technology, or tools for non-verbal students to communicate. Part of the day will be technology for non-readers as well.
Then it's off to riding lessons. Show on Sunday.
DH got a call asking him to fill in with the local community orchestra. Two Thursday night rehearsals and a Palm Sunday afternoon concert. He just laughed. If he had that kind of time.....

FWIW, my pug acted like that prolly the last two years of his life ;)...sleep on the couch, go out to pee, eat, go back to sleep on the couch. As long as his appetite was good, & peed/pooped okay, I assumed he was okay.

Kobi may be just like the rest of us - slowing down in his old age! :)

Check his mouth, what colour are his gums? Are they a very pale white? Our dog acted just like that in her old age, and it was when i checked her gum color that I knew something was really wrong. other than old age.
