I finally built a big fire pit in the back yard. I hauled 40 retaining bricks to make a two tiered brick pit. The bricks were left here by the previous owners, so it cost NOTHING to build. Just had to find the bricks in the many different piles that were tucked away on the property.

Anyhoo, after that I cut my walk short and just did a two mile jaunt. The wind was blowing and there was a nip in the air. When I got back, my daughter and I roasted wieners for hot dogs in our new fire pit! It was fun! Probably going to do it again tonight!

Dacjohns,

Took a nice brisk 3 1/2 mile walk this afternoon...found a trail with nice bun-burning hills.

Only did about 6 miles today, most of it on a nice trail but we did get up above 9000 feet. Much better than yesterday but still a strenuous work out.

Hey BBH!
I just had a wonderful idea!
Since it was this evil thread that got me off the couch(chair really, I don't have a couch) doing firewood instead of passing the job off to the boy, why don't you jog on over here and help me split wood?
It's really good for you!
Unless of course a big piece pops off the splitter and slams you in the thigh!
It only hurts when I sit too long, stand too long, walk, sleep or even barely bump it!
Other than that, I'm good!

So...
Like...
If I tell you I'm still in pain, you gonna do one of your many milers this way and split wood for me?

I am back in the saddle!(tractor seat) trying to get ready for the up coming rains!(Tuesday?)
The thigh is good, as long as my dogs don't slam into it!
(They are big dogs, and I am really starting to believe they like hearing me scream in pain!)

The log splitter is nice!
Luckily the person who owns it, moved to the other side of the state! Like she would even need a log splitter over there? Even I could hand split them pecker poles!
