lol Deb!

Snapshot thankyou! friendly is definalty what im going for
theres LOTS of people sell rabbits round here...lots...so i figure i need to "nich" if i want to get the kind of money for my buns that there worth (just because i and the few breeders in the area know the worth of a standard, doesnt mean the general population do) so i figure hey, most folks that raise rabbits around here just raise rabbits because hey they breed easy are cheap to feed and people will buy them...they dont typically spend much time handling the baby bunnies ect...so if i have "the friendliest bunnies in west TN" then mabe i can draw in more of the folks looking for more of a spoilt pet bunny than the folks who just want cheap bunnies to breed and sell themselves...

The last available bunny from Bluebells litter is heading home this afternoon if all goes according to plan...that leaves me with silver and strawberry who im going to pull from Bluebell 1 at a time Silver tomorrow and Strawberry probbaly friday. that gives bluebell a full 4 weeks with no nursing to get herself back up to strength ready for her next litter.
ill probably put strawberry in with silver untill the first week of may as i need another set of hinges to modify the door on the hutch she will be going in and well...ive no money right now so itll wait, and standard rex generally dont become sexually mature untill closer to 5-6 months (shouldnt be bred untill the 6-8 month mark) so, as long as silver and strawberry arnt trying to kill eachother i think ive got a couple weeks "saftey" zone for that hutch modification.

Ive decided the area under the buck hutches that the ducks currently call home is going to get pulled apart and modified, im going to turn it into 2 hutches, shouldnt be a difficult job with what i have on hand. ill probably need another roll of cage wire (that particular area has no floor in it so im going to have to figure out a floor. im planning on putting a couple of pure meat does in them so im thinking i need to figure out some kind of suspended wire floor. the other option would be to literally just suspend a couple of wire cages under there that i can unhook when i need to rake out underneath them. i could probably do that relitivly easily but it would cost me more in wire...either way i want a couple of cages under there instead of the ducks so i can bring in a couple of pure meaty does. (cals, nzs or mixes of something smilar)
my other option is to get my mits on some 24x24 wire cages i can suspend a 4 run under there easily, 24x24 would be big enough for hollands even with litters, then move bigwig and silver into slightly smaller houses (bucks dont need as much room as does realy) so they will take up spots in the 24x32s on the lower level of the mini rex bank (ill add a shelf/hidey house in there to increase floor space)
that would give me 1 of the 24x32 hutches left and assuming i get 2 holland lops, 2 24x24 holes left for the mini plush project, that then leaves me the 2 48" hutches that bigwig (and silver) use for a couple of meat does.

ill build a couple of pens for weaning/meat/fur raising

if i go with suspending wire cages under there ill re-use whatever i dont need in building the ducks and geese their own dedicated housing which im in the planning stages. which needs to be alot easier to clean. im thinking they need some kind of flooring that will be drop through, something easy to hose off (so plastic mabe) as shavings are just not cutting it on their mess. so ive got to do some research into the best bests for that (and size. the ducks seem quite happy with their 2x4 house but the geese aregoing to need something closer to 4x4 for them im also planning on the duck house and goose house being seperate entities
so thats some building...and ive also got to figure out my quail project which im thinking are going to be suspended wire rabbit cages under a roof with tarps that can be rolled up or down to protect against weather.

so those i think are the projects for the next few months. along with the movable pen for the goats

as much as id like to do chickens and guinnea i dont think thats going to be a spring/summer project, so im aiming to get the old shed torn down over summer and build a coop/get my first batch of chicks in the fall
Chickens and fruit trees that will become the fall/winter projects.

sorry for the ramble, i needed to get all that out of my head lol

oh well time to get dressed, the person picking up "Ava" should be hear 1:30-2pm ish (so im expecting him any time between 1 and 4 lol) i did her nails on sunday so i just need to grab her a sample baggy of food and a handfull of hay to go home with. and i think im going to get some weeding done in that front flower patch today.
Oh and i got a flower on one of the irises i got for free in that day lilly project and its yellow...so i definatly need some purple irises now :D.

but yeah.
Gone for a bit.

well little ava the black otter has gone home with a great but SERIOUSLY eunexpected guy!
shows up in a HUGE black behemoth of an SUV, short mohawk, Harly Davidson T-shirt. Kinda cute actually lol
he owns his own company and does hotrod/custom harley conversions.

yup, and he just bought himself a tiny little black bunny to be his bestest buddy! AWESOME!
we chatted for a good 45 mins, realy realy nice guy, his friends aparently have been ribbing on him a little because hes getting a fancy bunny as a companion instead of some big matcho dog but hes been super excited about taking his little girl home and having a hard time waiting (initially he was going to come out this weekend but didnt want to wait any longer so he cut out early so he coudl come today lol) shes going to be SOOO spoilt, he wants to start taking her everywhere and once shes big enough hes going to get her a bunny harness so she can go out for wlaks and out to events with him.

im so happy, as i said, completlyunexpected, i dont realy know what i was expecting but it definatly wasnt this guy...
he was INLOVE with bigwig asked me if id sell him too lol, i told him no worries, she will look JUST like her daddy when shes all grown up.

So yeah. very nice guy, and now she has a 2 hour drive back to the city...i dont know what that vehicle is getting to the gallon but im fairly certain...its NOT alot LOL. fancy though...

anywho. told him to "spread the word" because he knows that when they see how cute she is and when they feel how soft she is and when they feel her in adult coat...there ALL going to want one...mabe thatll be my nich...bunnies for the "alternative" crew! Punk Rock and Biker bunnies!

Pink's biker bunnies :gig That has a nice ring to it!

I think it's cool that a biker with a mohawk wants a cute black bunny as a pet!

Did you make him sign a 'no sacrifice' clause?! Sorry, had to ask  Did you give him your number, just in case there were a question he forgot to ask????? ;)

I think mohawks are awesome - DS#2 has had one for about 4 years now- I call him my last little Mohican :D

Sorry, I appear to be in a goofy mood tonight! :p

A few years ago, I was taking my daughter to summer camp. And there was a guy on a trike. He looked like a typical biker. Well, he had a rack across the back of his bike. And, on either side of it he had a basset hound! I don't know how he had them strapped down, but they were complete w/little doggy helmets and goggles! Wasn't quite the dog you'd picture w/how this guy looked!

well today is flea stufffor the dogs which meant weigh in day, im down another 1/2 a lb this week, dozer is up another 1 1/2lbs and ruby and jasper are both the same as last month (which is good because i know there eating even if i rarely do see them lol.
though right now ruby is at the food bowl, its kinda funnny actualy, i free feed (which some people are terreied about because 1 my dogs will overeat and get fat (despite the fact that thats NEVER happend before none of my dogs are chowhounds and ive NEVER had a weight problem in any of my dogs despite haing a weight problem myself) and 2: because obviously food makes animals evil and dozer is going to kill both my little dogs over some kibble (and in truth im more worried about jasper attacking dozer than the other way around...jasper is high value treat posessive (not agressive but posessive) hwoever theres no food bowl agression)
anywho...dozer was at the bowl eating, ruby whent over, looked at him, he took a mouthfull and walked away, then once that was done he returned and stat looking at her, she took a mouth full and walked away, this back and forth has been going on for about 10 mins now lol, it looks like there waiting in line

anywho. dozer is 58lbs, he will likley reach 60lbs by the time hes 7 months old.

goats got fresh everythign this morning, buns fed and such too. ive had breakfast...
ruby and jasper have their flea stuff done, just got to do dozers,
still have indoor critters to feed and then its "clean the house" day.
have to take my electric bill over to the post office and get that mailed out, internet bill will go out on monday (doesnt need to be there untill the 6th)
shouldnt be too bad of a day...
got 3lbs of ground beef in the fridge defrosted which is going to become 3 different things today (chilli, sloppy joes and taco meat. then itll get frozen in smaller serving sizes.)
then at some point before the beginning of may i need to go back through the freezer and my coupons and figure out meals from what ive got and make my shopping list.
i also NEED to get the wshing machine sorted out as im now offiially down to 1 pair of jeans i can wear in public that dont look like ive tied myself up in a sack, and there officially dirty LOL.
this also means the first sunday in may im off to goodwill for their 99c sale and buying jeans if it kills me (even if i do have to go to 3 different goodwills LOL. i want at least 5 pairs of Well fitting. as it is ive currently got 1 pair of semi well fitting jeans (there a little big but not Tie it in the middle big, they stil look ok with a belt lol) and 4 pairs "sack" jeans. ill keep 2 pairs 1 is covered in paint the other is my Mucking about in the dirt pair...so i think 5 new pairs of "we fit" jeans will work nicely. Im a size 8-10 now...(i used to be a size 22-24) should have been bigger given my weight at that pint but i have no butt...(no realy, even at 350lbs i had a flat ass! lol)
clothes shoping presents a whole new set of problems now...lol.

anyway, got to go check my facebook and then got to get this place together again. might try and get some sewing done this afternoon too.
