When we lived in FL I put up Christmas decorations Thanksgiving day and took them down Christmas day evening! That was before I was a photographer and could leave it up all year! LOL Have a great day!

postw 945 is the new year journal starting lol


off to mom and dads in a bit. just to goof off and relax for a bit and check in and see what is doing. momma said she is making ribs and mac n cheese for luninner.
that is lunch/dinner combined --yea I nutso. so eating that means no cooking for tonight, just a sand. or soup if anyone is hungry.


when I get home I will be working outside. IT IS absolutely beautiful these last few days but if I remember right mon (or tues) we are getting the COLD coming.
we have been out in long sleeves only. with a nip in the air only. I tell ya you can't go wrong with NC winters. they do treat ya well.

TONY cut down 2 big trees yesterday near our new fenceline to be put up and one of my giant pampas grass. ah, I will miss it but he hates those, but I grew that for over 15 years. I liked it but it is gone. He took the backhoe and dug it all up and it is gonzo. BUT wow the area looks so open it is crazy. Nice new horse pasture fenceline going in (hopefully) soon but he goes back to work on Friday and cold weather coming so hmm...not sure on timeline to get 'er done.


tomorrow is all about final xmas stuff down like the tree and more

tomorrow is SCHOOL again. HOORAY!!!! fun time but momma needs kiddo gone for a bit to get it all back to normal and cleaned up and organized

take down tree and all that in the house and get the holiday over

Nicole off to school looking so cute and she is excited to go and see her friends. ah the quiet is amazing right now
I bought her a pair of high heel fashion boots. she looks amazing lol. she said she feels so grown up..yikes



soap delivery to a health store tomorrow so today is wrap soaps and get it all ready for delivery.


clean out car a bit. get the holiday rush junk out of the back seat along with general wipe down.

off to Walmart. toys are 50-70% off. her extra Lite Sprite toys are so cheap now I will get the extras that go with her lite tree and sprites. I bought the basic toy for christmas, now time to get all the accessories for at least 1/2 price. These will be for her birthday in April. SO off to get that and save money. what kills me to no end....I paid $39.99 for the lite tree toy and it is now $20. UGH UGH breaks my heart but hey ya know...


nothing major today. going slow and getting some small stuff done that needs attention.

colder today for sure! we have 2 or 3 days of hi 40s and then back into the hi 50s. ah yea!!!! even nights are not bad right now....but I get the feeling in the next 2 weeks the cold is coming to set into us...which is fine, to me real winter is so short in NC.

going to juice in a bit. carrots, apply, celery, bit of pineapple. Pineapple can be very strong in the juice. a little goes a long way

Hubbys b-day yesterday. Had a good time out to dinner with my parents. met at a nice place and chowed down. good food there. I got him pants and Nicole got him a LED lantern he has been wanting. wow, darn near $50 for a lantern. huh? geez but I got the one he wanted. I have to say that lantern lights up the world lol

FINALLY all the 'things' are over. no more b-days, holidays or anything. now back to normal. I gott a clean up my diet from eating all thru the holidays and all. you know when you get that ick feeling. too much on food. I get sick of food now. Holidays and all are nice but good thing they are over now.


Tony's Dad is very very sick. Had his cancer tests and it is not good. All from the throat, down into the stomach etc is cancer ridden the Drs. said. fatal.
They said if the treatments stall it, then this type of cancer comes back 6 mos to a year. kinda like you can't truly win. but with treatments he can stall it and get more time maybe. Everyone is getting upset now with that diagnosis. The uncertainty of it all, yet the knowledge of what is certainly going to happen is just, heck I don't know the word I am looking for, but it all just sucks rocks. MIL is all upset about all the tractors and farm equip etc. And we all have tons of it. But Tony said he will sell and keep what we need etc. and handle all the 'stuff'. tons of 'stuff' to handle on a farm ya know. But all day by day is what you can do. no use jumping to conclusions just yet I guess..ugh


well off to get stuff done. not too much to handle and it is supposed to hit near or into the 60s today. so that is nice. power bill is treating me good. Also haven't turned on propane fireplace much. so conserving there also. winter I believe will be a breeze this season I hope.

I do not feel it is going to be good at all. In fact it is going to be the 'nightmare time' coming for all.

Sad, very sad.

Hubby is not doing well. Between the sickness of his dad and possible loss (remember just like 10 days ago we went to Perks funeral of Tonys best friend) and his dads problems it is weighing hard. that 'limit of life' is coming into play in his mind now. ugh

And his mom wondering about land division and her own fear of it all...................just that bad time ya know!

Tony came home early from work today putting in for 'family sick leave' available time. His mom wants someone to go to her 'educational' time with how to deal with this cancer. he is going. He feels bad he is 'off work' cause he is a worker and doesn't 'take time even if allowed' but I said you use all the time you need and are allowed to use.

I support him now 100%
